Search on for MS-13 gang member suspected of East Montgomery County fatal stabbing

Authorities are searching for a self-proclaimed MS-13 gang member who is a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 60-year-old man early Thursday morning in East Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating Guillermo Fernandez, aka Jose Alvarez-Fernandez, a 23-year-old Hispanic male. He is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and sporting a marijuana leaf tattoo on one of his forearms. He also has his last name tattooed on one of his triceps and a devil face tattoo on his left calf, according to law enforcement.

Detectives are considering Fernandez armed and dangerous. The victim, a Hispanic male in his 60s, was found with multiple stab wounds outside a home in the 23000 block of Goode Road off Texas 105 East around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The victim's identity has not been released.

A neighbor told The Courier the victim did not live at the home, although the homeowners rushed outside and found him in their driveway. They tried to administer first aid on the man, but he died before deputies and medics arrived.
"It is believed he was stabbed multiple times by an unknown subject," Montgomery County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Spencer said Thursday.

Briseyde Gonzalez, who lives next door, said she heard an altercation prior to the man's death.
"You could hear banging," Gonzalez said. "I got up to see what was going on, and I just remember seeing there was a truck and it reversed right here, pulled up and picked someone up and went super fast."
