Bandidos MC national president says El Paso won't become 'war zone,' following shooting

(VIDEO (link is external))--EL PASO, Texas — The Bandidos Motorcycle Club is labeled as a tier two gang by the FBI, Department of Justice and Texas Department of Public Safety.

They say they're just a Club.
Now they say they want to make sure this incident doesn't set them back in the eyes of the community.
"We came here to check on our brothers that were injured,” Clifton ‘Dozer’ Roberts, the Bandidos National President, said.

A shooting involving the Bandidos Motorcycle Club brought the club's president to east El Paso. Four members were shot on Sunday at Mulligan's Bar.
"They went on and on, and there might have been some kind of an altercation," Ashley ‘Smiley’ Brecker of the Bandidos El Paso chapter said.

Brecker said he left right before shots were fired by a gunman from a different group inside the bar.
"One of them came in helmet on, full leathers, gloves and just started shooting the place,” Brecker said.

The shooting brings up a tarnished past for the Bandidos.
"This is the 21st century. We understand how things go and we are not law breakers. Every one of us is either retired or has a full time job,” Brecker said. “We're just out trying to have motorcycles and have fun."

They want El Pasoans to know they're not trying to cause trouble.
"El Paso's been our home. So by no means are we planning on turning the area into a war zone,” Roberts said. “But I am here and our club is here to personally let everyone know that is no way in our thoughts."

The national president did say two of the members in the hospital are in critical condition. Police haven't arrested anyone in connection to this shooting.
