Two Fayette Co. schools vandalized with race-, gang-related graffiti (Lexington, KY): Fayette County school district leaders say graffiti had to be cleaned up at Henry Clay High School and Breckinridge Elementary School after the two schools were vandalized over the weekend.

Lake City sees increase in gang violence, police plan to crack down (Lake City, SC): One city in Florence County is working to protect people from gang violence. Police Chief Kipp Coker says “homegrown” gangs, or gangs formed in rural areas, are causing problems in Lake City, but his department has a plan to make sure residents are safe.

ICE: 6 suspects in Northern Virginia gang-related murder cases face deportation (Fairfax, VA): ICE agents have started the very beginning stages of the deportation process for four of the ten suspects being held on charges related to gang activity, and the abduction and murder of Damaris Alexandra Reyes, the 15-year-old Gaithersburg girl whose body was found in Fairfax in February.
