Neighbors shocked by motorcycle meetup escalating to gunshots

A fight during a motorcycle meet up escalated to gunshots leaving neighbors on edge Sunday.
The fight broke out off 15th Avenue in Huntsville just before 6:00 pm Saturday.
"Pretty shocking that it's right in my backyard," said 10-year-old Michael Newsom, who lives just down the street, "I was really scared I told the dogs to get in my room, they were shaken too."
While Newsom was at home alone he heard shouting and fighting outside. When he went to look out the window he said he heard gunshots.

"Then I heard sirens and I was like yes, finally," said Newsom.
Newsom's step-dad Vince Tichenor rushed home once he heard what happened.
"Bout 15 cop cars, crime scene tape, went to the backyard and motorcycles were knocked down," said Tichenor, "never anything like that from the motorcycle club, usually a real good, quiet group."

Headhunters Motorcycle Club members are dealing with damaged bikes, while neighbors told WAAY 31 they are still piecing together what took place so close to home.

Neighbors WAAY 31 talked to also said the person responsible for the violence is not a member of the motorcycle club. Huntsville Police have not confirmed if that is the case. One person was taken to the hospital Saturday with non life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
